Mr. Emile Viola III's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Emile Viola III
With profound love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Emile Viola III, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend. Born in Houston, Texas, to Emile Viola Jr. and Joyce Steen Viola, Emile lived a life marked by service, strength, adventure, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
A graduate of Jesse H. Jones Senior High School, Emile attended Prairie View A&M University before meeting the love of his life, Lillian Jones. They married on July 30, 1972, beginning a beautiful partnership that lasted more than fifty-three years. During their journey together, they welcomed two daughters, Kendria and Candace, while Emile proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts Education from Texas Southern University.
Emile dedicated more than thirty-five years to ExxonMobil's Baytown Olefins Plant, where he retired as a respected Plant Supervisor. While he valued his career, his greatest accomplishment was always his family.
Known for his love of camping, boating, hunting, fishing, and family adventures, Emile embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories. He was equally known for his signature camouflage attire, which became a beloved part of his identity.
One of Emile's greatest joys was bringing people together. Family and friends could often expect a text inviting them over for one of his famous pots of venison chili or beans, followed by an afternoon of laughter, storytelling, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or Houston Texans. His home was always open, his table always full, and his heart always welcoming.
Above all, Emile was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and faithful friend. His wisdom, strength, and unconditional love will continue to guide those who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Lillian Viola; his daughters, Kendria Kemper (Jesse) and Candace Newhouse (David); his beloved grandchildren, Jessica Kemper, Paige Kemper, Jesse Kemper, Braxtyn Newhouse, David Newhouse V, and Dallas Newhouse; his sisters, Natalie Mathews (Jefferson) and Emeldia Bailey (Robert); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, family, service, and love will live on forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
“A loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, faithful veteran, and cherished friend. Well done, good and faithful servant.”
