Air Force Veteran, Mr. Dwight C. Paige, entered into Eternal Rest on May 16, 2020. A man of great courage and character - we salute you.
Dwight Chapell Paige was born on February 2, 1937 at Queens General Hospital in Jamaica Queens, New York to Bernard and Costello Paige.
He was the youngest of 4 children: Bernard, Gwendolyn, Geraldine and Dwight.
He attended and graduated from Public School 138 and George Westinghouse High School.
He joined the Air Force in 1959 where he served until 1963. During that time he met and married Beulah Kate Cumberlander and had 2 children: Michelle Renee and Craig Steven.
In 1965 he married Barbara Priolenau and from that union they had 2 children: Lisa Ann and Christopher Dwight.
Dwight was employed at Grumman Aircraft in Bethpage Long Island, New York as a spacecraft technician working on a NASA project. He was then transferred to Houston Texas to work on the LEM NASA (Apollo 13) spacecraft. He retired from ExxonMobil in 1995.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bernard, sister Gwendolyn, wife Barbara and son Christopher. Leaving to survive him are: sister Geraldine, daughter Michelle, daughter Lisa (Cedric), son Kevin (Lori), son Craig (Jackie), and grandchildren along with lots of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
