Mrs. Bonnie Crockett Simpson's Obituary
Mrs. Bonnie Crockett Simpson transitioned from labor to reward on May 14, 2025. She has joined her beloved husband Daniel E. Simpson and together they are rejoicing in the presence of God.
Born in Nacogdoches, Texas on January 16, 1943, Bonnie moved to Austin, TX in 1954. She moved back to Nacogdoches where she became a proud graduate of E.J. Campbell High School.
One of the first African-American students to attend the University of Texas at Austin (a “Pre-Cursor”), she was educated to become an Electrical Engineer.
In 1965, she married Daniel Earl Simpson of Sneads, Florida and moved to Miami where she began working for Southern Bell as a telephone operator in 1966. She moved to Lilburn, GA (Atlanta) in 1983 to work for AT&T as an engineer, phone system designer, and moved to Houston in 1988 where she worked as a marketing/sales specialist before she retired from AT&T in 1997.
On May 17, 1970, she became the beloved mother of Dannika Elizabeth Simpson.
