I continue to remember Acie in my prayers. I miss him being a phone call away!

My time of knowing Acie is from just prior to Elementary School in Dallas, Texas. We were in the same graduating Class of 1963 from Lincoln High School Dallas. Our career paths were similar as Independent Management Consultants, and we both shared the same compassion regarding developmental structuring with affirmative programming that provided for equity to the underserved. Acie was a true professional and dedicated person. Family, it is imperative to keep strong in faith with your memories as you move forward and contend with the grief.

Acie, it was an honor to meet you and stand beside you on the sale of Rodney's home on Field Hollow Lane. Though our friendship was short in duration, it was meaningful and grounded in what grew into our mutual respect for one another, the love we have for our families, and the faith we both shared in GOD's word and promises. When Harold lost his life in the line of duty with HPD, you comforted me when others couldn't. You understood the pain of my loss and the horrid and immeasurable toll it leaves behind. Thank you for being my friend and brother in Christ. I hope to see you again on the other side of life. When you see Harold, tell him to be on the lookout for me, to wait for me.
Ryan, you and your family have my sincere condolences and my congratulations for being blessed to have such a wonderful father. His legacy of goodness and decency will continue to live through you and your children, AMEN!

Paul said, "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable." If I didn't think I would ever see Acie again; or if I thought our relationship had ended forever; then this moment would be more painful than it is. Thanks be unto God, this ain't over. We love you and miss you...til we see each other again. Joseph and Jolanda Smith
Farewell my friend. It was time for you to go to join your wife and son who you loved so much. I am blessed that we had the chance to meet. May you always walk in sunshine for the happiness you gave to many. I will miss you.
To Ryan, I extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family. The love for his family was his number one conversation. May the many loving memories comfort you all!
