Happy Birthday Mrs.S. #NotForgotten

Today, I will not line my eyes Yvette, because the tears will surely fall. Many people knew you as a very serious person. I knew you as the light hearted individual who proffered one day when I visited your room, 'just a little line under the eye, just a little line'. I've been lining my almondshaped eyes ever since and I smile each time I remember 'just a little line'. I thank you for these moments. I thank you also for being that serious individual who subtly kept me focused. Good friends never say 'goodbye', they simply say......'see you soon'.
I am sending condolence to the family of one of keenest students I have taught. Yvette was bright as well as charming and affable. I wish she had been allowed to stay longer but God knows best and from what I know she filled every moment of the time she was given with Love and Good deeds.

I have very fond memories of my dear friend Yvette.
We met at the University of the West Indies, Mona, twenty five years ago; immediately, we became kindred spirits. I looked up to her like a big sister.
She modelled and exemplified the modesty, elegance and graciousness of a lady. She had quiet confidence and spoke her truth quietly but clearly with a graceful authority.
She was passionate about language, especially French and was diligent and very organized professionally and personally.
She was also a woman of faith. I admired that about her. She was committed to her relationship with God. She was also an extremely passionate and dedicated educator who loved her students.
I remember once her attempt to teach me French; I sucked at it; we both knew it. But she was patient and encouraged my efforts. But not once was she scathing in her remarks. That was Yvette, generous in thought and deed.
I am sure many have similar experiences of this extraordinary quiet woman of strength.
Errol, Loiic, Mykel and her siblings and other family can be encouraged by the realisation that she made an indelible contribution to the lives of many, even beyond what she herself would have been aware of.
In this time of grief and beyond, l encourage you to celebrate Yvette's life and how she lived and be thankful to God for a life well lived and for the many memories which you can all treasure.
I pray that all her family will experience divine comfort and also be strengthened and encouraged by the warmth of the wonderful memories of her life which they will always carry with them.
In loving memory of a wonderful mother, wife, sister and friend.

Life is not built on our expectations, but what we make of life as we take our journey along its path. May the family of Yvette find comfort in her memories as they say their earthly farewells. Hold unto the unchanging hands of God as He continues to give you the strength and comfort to go on despite the sadness.
She's only gone on ahead of you,
Not just left you behind.
Although you can't be with her right now,
She lives on in your heart and mind.
The day will come when you'll meet again
On Heaven's distant shore,
And the two of you will walk hand in hand
Together forever more. (Adapted)

My condolences to Mrs Yvette Samuels family may her soul rest in peace she was a very loving lady she love the Lord and her work going to miss her
Yvette, my friend, was a decent, gracious, classy, professional woman who loved her family with passion and devotion. She was an intelligent and caring teacher who proved her nurturing touch by the way she mothered those girls at A.G.H.S. And for her love and genuine concern for them, they gave love and respect in return.
Well done good and faithful servant! You played your part with distinction. May your soul rest in perpetual peace.
Until we meet again ........
You will forever remain in our memories for you impressed your gracious spirit upon our hearts!
