It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Varetta Bailey Williams, who departed this life on August 3, 2025, at the age of 71. A beloved member of the Houston community, Varetta was known for her unwavering faith, her generous heart, and her dedication to family and friends.
Varetta is survived by her loving daughter Katrice Davis (Jerome), and her cherished granddaughters Vivian Ashley and Bailey Maxine, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her devoted brothers: Bethel Bailey, Jr., Don Bailey (Joann), and Stuart Scott Bailey (Angie).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bethel Bailey Sr. and Vivian Bailey, and her sister, Rosa Pearl Bailey Abram.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Fifth Ward Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4300 Noble St, Houston, TX 77020.
Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember a remarkable woman whose legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
