I miss you Sarita
I am so saddened and sorry for the loss of Sarita. She was a great friend and a terrific person. She will be missed - I will treasure my memories of her.
Sincere condolences to the family. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God provide the necessary peace and comfort to your family and friends during this difficult time. Please remember these words of encouragement from the Bible: “ Jesus plainly told her: “I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” —John 11:20-25.
My condolences to the Scarbrough Family. I met Sarita, who drove by herself from Houston to Atlanta, while visiting her cousin, Jocelyn Wright. Her free spirit, kindness, independence, and joy of life was what I remembered most about Sarita, and was on shown again, when I saw her in Houston in 2018 while at the AKA Boule with Jocelyn. She was the epitome of sisterhood! Sarita showed me and my Soror squad much love as we shopped and dined together in Houston, and stayed in touch with each of us over these past 5 years. Her sudden passing was shocking, but I thank God I got to meet an angel on earth. Rest in peace, Sarita, and I'll see you on the other side.
My Dear Cousin, Our paths crossed late in our adult life. We had always "heard" about each other but never met. I still remember the "urgency" that you had when I brought my students to Houston for a college tour. You came out to the hotel, gave GREAT COUNSEL to the graphic arts students and then we talked for a long time.
I will always remember the weekly talks, the texts, even the telephone calls to ask how "Aunt Bertha" was doing. Your transition was so sudden, but isn't it always the case. But I learned that the Spirit was NEVER born so it can NEVER die.
I'll keep talking to you and knowing you will answer, just from a different realm.
Shelby T.
