Ms Bellard was my homeroom and math teacher from 9th grade-12th grade (1986-1990). I REALLY struggled with math. She was so fair, patient and she had very high expectations for her students. I fell in love with math, eventually, and gave her a call in 1998 to ask about a teaching job. We taught math next door to each other 98-01 and remained in touch for years. She loved her church. I remember her telling me stories of how she was struggling tutoring the priest math! I think of her often. I’m enjoying my 25+ years in education and carry her impact on my life to my students now.
