First, let me begin by expressing my condolences and sympathy to Tammy, Marcus, Brandon, Cheryl, Jan and Larry. Your loss of a husband, father and brother is sorrowful and grievous. I do pray the Lord Jesus bless you with comfort, mercy, peace and grace by power of the Beautiful Holy Spirit. Without doubt there are those who could speak about Paul’s life with greater detail and intimacy. I would like to say that I did appreciate and had a fondness for several reasons. First, our brother Paul was from Connecticut. The neighbor of New York. I did always having appreciate having a fellow northerner who understood the proper way things should be done (HA HA HA). We enjoyed some good laughs and conversation as we discussed the different ways of life between South and North. Secondly, Paul’s hospitality was truly unique. Paul never made you feel like a visitor. Paul made you feel like you could move in, and he and Tammy would be happy to make room for you. You never felt like you were imposing or interfering, you always felt that Paul was happy to entertain and have you over. Thirdly, I always appreciated Paul’s love for family. Paul did have a special place in his heart for his family, but not just his children wife and siblings. I always admired and respected the way Paul showed special kindness and special love to his special niece Keisha. Paul was one of the few people who could take the special power hug of Keisha and thoroughly enjoy the affection. When others would be trying to break free, I can remember Paul just saying over and over, “I love you Keisha”, while Debra would try to rescue Paul. This always warmed my heart. I always noticed at the family reunion that Paul would take time to go over and show love to his niece. This always spoke to my heart. This is a special love that is a gift from God.
Again please allow me to express my sympathy and sorrow at the loss of our beloved Paul.
I would like to thank the Beautiful Lord Jesus for allowing our paths to cross and our lives to intersect for the past three decades.
With Love in Jesus
