Max was a deeply spiritual woman who lived her faith openly. My fondest memory of Max is her beautiful singing voice. When Max sang, it was uplifting and full of faith. Her voice was a gift from God. Max will always be remembered for the way her songs and her beautiful spirit touched our souls.

I remember sharing many days sitting on Granny’s bed when yall lived in the duplex off Kiest in Dallas. She was always willing to share her wisdom. She loved each and everyone of her grandbabies dearly. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly and wasn’t ashamed to let the world know that. I know she’s in a much better place, but - Wow, how much we will miss her earthly presence. I know she’s will hear the Lord say Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant. She truly understood the assignment- Love Others Wholeheartedly.
Granny thank you so much for always picking Devin and me up when we needed you.
Love,
Ashia
Precious in the eye of the Lord is the death of His Saints. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. For in His presence is the fullness of joy. In 1979 on a mission trip to Cameroon, West Africa. God gave His very special angel, Maxcine Watson charge over me. Maxcine, with the "c" in the middle of her name. Because, Jesus was the "center" of her life and joy. Mama "Max", became my spiritual mother and best friend. An amazing guiding light, chosen by God to be a luminary on my path of righteousness. Always empowering me with the word of God and teaching me to praise and pray my way through every situation. She taught me to walk by faith. Always trusting God to do exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ask or imagine. Always remembering God's great faithfulness to His children, to expect the miraculous. Because, God would show up and show out. But, most of all to remember the words of Jesus: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
You have been faithful over a few things, God has now made you ruler over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.
Rest in heaven Mama Max.
