With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark J. Harris, a cherished father, brother, uncle, friend, and life partner to Lori Karner. Mark's vibrant spirit and unwavering love for his family and community left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Born on May 31, 1962, in his beloved New Orleans, Mark's passion for his city was evident throughout his life. From the colorful streets of the French Quarter to the roaring cheers of the Superdome, he carried New Orleans in his heart wherever he went. Mark's devotion extended beyond his city to his beloved teams, the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers, where he cheered with unmatched enthusiasm.
Mark was more than just a fan; he was a beacon of joy and camaraderie. His infectious laugh filled every room, and his larger-than-life presence ensured that he never met a stranger. His warm smile and welcoming spirit touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
In addition to his passion for football and community, Mark cherished his role as a father to his two children, Payton and Jordan Harris. His commitment to family also extended to his siblings, Kevin, Denise, and Wanda, with whom he shared countless memories and cherished bonds.
Alongside his family, Mark found unwavering support and love in his life partner, Lori Karner. Their bond was a testament to the strength of true partnership and enduring love.
Mark J. Harris departed this world on April 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. While we mourn his loss, we take solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during the evening visitation on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 5 to 8 pm at Mabrie Memorial Mortuary. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Mark's life will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11 am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, located at 7810 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX 77379, with visitation starting at 10 am.
