Ginger was always willing to help with high school fund raising cancer drive activities. Our Woodson High School classes were very competitive, and all were eager to win first place for raising the most funds which included a trip to the Galveston beach. She was often the first one to be picked up or the last one dropped off after we solicited funds for adds from local businesses in Liberty, Ames and Raywood. Our hard-working class won first place in the competition, and we were rewarded with a trip to the beach. The following year we went to Mexico where we had a great time. Ginger was always pleasant to be around, and our graduating class would not have been the same without her.

Aunt Ginger was a loving and kind aunt and just a good person in general. She showed love and kindness by her actions and not just by her words. My sister -in- law, good friend, (Marion Fontenot Kennedy) was a loveable person. We were close, as to say, her husband ( Alfred ) & her, would invite me take a ride with them, go fishing, visit her kin in. Raywood, Texas, visit Herman Park & visit her daughters l. Lejoi & Cynthia in. Manvel. I'm missing her now. May God bless her soul.
