Mrs. Margaret Newsome Routt's Obituary
Margaret Routt departed this earthly life and moved to her heavenly home at 12:20 am, March 27, 2026. Margaret was a proud Educator whose teaching career spanned 34 years and included Dogan Elementary, Pleasantville Elementary and Atherton Elementary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marie Newsome Sr., her husband, Harold Routt, her sisters, Ruth Hudson, Earline Taylor, Mildred Williams, and Dorothy Kelly, her brothers, Carl Newsome, Wilbert Newsome, and Earl Newsome Jr.
Margaret leaves to mourn her demise, her daughters, Gretchen (Bobby) and Millicent, grandchildren, Drew and Chelsea (Robert), great grandchildren, Jayden and Robert Chase, a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly and her beloved Chihuahua, “Mickey.”
