I spent my youth in Gary, Indiana growing up across the street from the Waddell Family. Lamont was my first Big Brother. I knew immediately that he was one of the smartest person’s I knew. He was a Mentor, and could talk about any subject. His intellect always fascinated me. In his presence, I always learned something new. Besides being so nice, you learned quickly he loved his Family and he always shared with everyone all that he could give. He was a man of Service. He made an impact. He will always be missed and always loved.
To Rita, Carlene, Rick and the entire Waddell family,
Mere words cannot adequately express my deepest condolences to you during this difficult time. Lamont was indeed a remarkable person to all that knew and loved him for his genuine friendship and concern for others well-being. You weren’t considered a stranger after meeting Lamont for the second time.
Lamont’s legacy will live on and always remain warmly in our hearts with love and gratitude.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4 KJV

With my deepest condolscences, I share with many the loss of Lamont Waddell. What a loving & caring soul who exemplified the true meaning of "love" during the years I've known him. He gave to many his time, advice, & resources without reservation. I met Lamont through my sister, Meredith, many years ago. Our family loved him & he loved us! He enjoyed most the wide open countryside when he traveled home with us. it is my belief, Lamont was received into his heavenly home and is rejoicing with the angels. Such an earthly loss for us but a gain for his eternal home.
Remembering you always,
Patricia M. Booker
Lamont was and is a testimony of what God's best looks like, walks like, and serves like; a man of character, a person of honor and decency; a brother and friend to all who had the privilege of being in his presence even for a moment, and now our Lord has called him into greater service and reward for all eternity. See you again one day my friend.

My sincere heartfelt condolences to the entire Waddell family.
I met Lamont at a family gathering at my sister,Julita, and my Bro-in-Law, Fred's home. Our time spent was very brief, but I remember how engaging he was and I'll never forget his infectious laugh and warm hug.
He will truly be missed.
Rest in Heavenly peace my Brother.
Sincere Condolences to Rita, Carlene, Rick, and the Entire Family of Lamont Waddell,
I offer my deepest condolences to all of you during this difficult time. Lamont’s kindness, generosity, and warm spirit left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. He was always ready to lend an ear, offer support, or just share a moment of laughter.
Kahlil Gibran once wrote, “It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” Lamont truly embodied this sentiment in everything he did. His life was a testament to the power of selflessness and compassion.
Though Lamont’s physical presence is no longer with us, his memory and the love he shared will continue to inspire and comfort us. We find solace in knowing that nothing truly loved is ever lost.
Lamont will always hold a special place in my heart. You will be missed, Lamont.
Forever in my heart,
Meredith Hargrove
