Mr. Kenneth Ray Bell's Obituary
Kenneth Ray Bell, born on September 15,1960, in Gary, Indiana, was the youngest child of the late James Garfield Bell and Willie Mae Bell.
Kenny Ray professed a hope in Christ at a very early age and was baptized by Rev. Julius James at St. John Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana. He later joined New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Merrillville, Indiana where the Pastor is Rev. T. Brian Hill. Upon his relocation to Houston, Texas his beloved church home was Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church where the Pastor is Rev. Richard J. Rose.
Kenny Ray graduated from Roosevelt High School, Class of 1979. He went on to attend DeVry Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
He spent several years in the financial sector before following the entrepreneurship that's in his family's DNA, running a successful janitorial service for many years. Kenny Ray loved traveling, especially tropical locations.
Kenny Ray was preceded in death by his parents James and Willie Mae Bell, his brother and sister James A. Bell and Cheryl Ann Bell, nephew Tony Mayfield, and uncle Rev. Perry A. Smith (Constance).
In God's care he leaves his sister and brothers Gwendolyn (John) Ivy, Lawrence (Tomaro) Bell, Jerry (Berta) Bell, nieces Lauren, Stacey, Stephanie and Melame Bell; nephews Clyde Mayfield Jr. and Lawrence Bell II; cousins Willie-B. Armstrong, Charlotte (Kevin) Willingham, Rozell (Renee) Manning II, the Lee family, Keith- (Deborah) Wilson, and a host of other friends and families. Special Friends: Diane Crawford, Charles Barron, Nikita Cheairs, Waymon Cruse, Daniel McGee, Aquanita Yancy and the Jenkins family of Illinois and a host of other friends and families.
The family would like to express its unending gratitude to those who prayed, called, dropped food or just listened. We love you dearly.
