Wow this is a great loss, John was a man who showed a huge example of what it’s to spiritually mature, an awesome mentor, loving husband and father. He was a true friend to many. Natacha, words cannot express the pain I felt the night I received the news. As you know, John and I were as close as brother and the sister he never wanted but tolerated. I am so grateful to God for the time we shared and the memories I hold in my heart. I am a firm believer that God puts people in our lives to walk with us for a season, and thanks to the Dept. of Veteran Affairs, John and I have walked together for 18 years. He was a funny dude and I'll never forget the jokes and laughter we shared. I will never forget how he was always there for me, and I will miss him dearly. We have lost a good soldier, a man of God with a tough exterior and heart of gold. I pray that God wipes your tears and gives you peace to endure this storm of life. A night we'll never forget, every time we get together we'd have so much fun. We want you to know that we're praying for you and family and if you need anything please don't hesitate to call on us. Memories from Calvin, when he bake cakes for C/O 88, Crockett would ask, why did you bring that crack cake here man, you're their pusher and he would laugh so hard, cuz his cakes are so good, it's like crack, you can't eat just one slice.
