On July 2, 2025, we had the great privilege of reuniting with Sharon and Donel at Pappadeaux in Houston — a dinner that brought back so many cherished memories of growing up on Moenart Street in Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Hennessee held a special place in our lives. As children, my brother and I enjoyed so many hotdogs and hamburgers at the Hennessee home during summer holidays. To this day, I can still picture Mr. Hennessee standing at the BBQ grill, right off the side door on the driveway — tending the food, feeding the neighborhood kids, and making everyone feel welcome.
That image never leaves you. It speaks to the kind of man he was — generous, present, and the heart of the home.
We are grateful for the life he lived and the memories he leaves behind. He will always be remembered with great love and fondness.
