Mr. Howard J. Middleton, Jr. entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2023.
The life of Mr. Howard J. Middleton Jr. will be honored and celebrated on Monday, June 26, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at The Community of Faith Church, Bishop James Dixon, Officiating, 1024 Pinemont Dr., Houston, TX 77091. Visitation will be prior to service starting at 9:00 a.m.

Howard J. Middleton, Jr., was born April 11, 1931 in Centerville, Texas to the parentage of the late Howard J. Middleton, Sr., and Ninnie Wilson Middleton. He attended Frederick Douglass High School in Centerville, Texas. Afterward he continued his education at Texas Southern University in the field of Business Administration.
Howard accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the creek in the Egypt Community of Centerville, Texas. He later joined Gospel Hill Baptist Church in Houston, Texas and at his death was a member of New Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Harrell R. Berry in Houston.
Howard’s surviving family includes his wife, Doris Knighton Middleton; and children Horatio (deceased), Hilton (Erma) , Donald (Tina) and Hilda. Surviving Sibling Bernard Middleton, Sr. (Carolyn). Deceased Siblings: Frank, Leon, J.D., Herod, Earl, James, Gladys and Mary Emerson. His grandchildren: Merrick, Kedric, Dameon, Kyle, DeLora, Damitra, Jaleesa, Jonathan, Dominique, Howard-Joseph, Kelsea, and Madison. Also surviving are 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
