Mr. Horace W. Grays' Obituary
"Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be; A resting place along the road to sweet Eternity."
Mr. Horace W. Grays, longtime educator and administrator, entered into Eternal rest January 14, 2019. He was a distinguished alumnus of Booker T. Washington High School and Texas Southern University.
The celebration of his life will be Saturday, January 26th, 12:00 PM at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3015 N. MacGregor Way, Dr. D.Z. Cofield, Officiating. He will lie in state prior to service beginning at 10:00 AM. A ceremony will be held by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. at 11 AM, followed by the Links, Inc. at 11:30 AM.
He leaves in God’s care his loving wife of 66 years, Dr. Mattelia Bennett Grays; daughter, Karen Grays-Gray (Benjamin); grandson, Kristopher Howard (Jennifer), great-grandchildren, Karolina and Kristopher Howard, Jr. and many other dear relatives and friends.
