A moment that stands out where Aunt Helen's kindness impacted my life was when I moved to the NJ/Philly area and found out that I was expecting my first child. I was scared and didn't know anything about motherhood. One Saturday I went to visit Aunt Helen and Uncle Curtis and she told me "You will figure everything out. Now you gone make some mistakes, but that's what we are here for" "Your family got you -OK". And I can truly say, she and Uncle Curtis really stepped up and gave me and my young family the support that we needed at that time. THANK YOU AUNT HELEN!!!

Today we lay to rest my Aunt Helen Griffin. For the last 25+ years she has been a constant help (Kamille and Kelis' first baby sitter), a friend, a confidant, a steady in my life and I will forever be grateful for her love, her advice, her help and especially her love. I never really prepare for a day like this because its so hard to think of a world without my grandmother. There is no wiser woman in the world that could teach me that family is everything. Without our Sunday dinners after church and all the moments in between I wouldn't what the meaning family is. I'm happy knowing that someone will be waiting for her up there in heaven.
I want to share a beautiful photo of both my grandparents together on one of my memorable days.

Today, I honor my grandmother and the beautiful memories she gave me. Some of my fondest moments were Sunday dinners at her house after church, me playing the piano for hours on end, and her yelling at the TV during football, and filling the room with love and laughter.

As I grew older, I carried those memories into my own kitchen, recreating her recipes for her and sharing those moments once again. Her last request to me was simple and sweet: “Next time I see you, you better make me some bread pudding… but without raisins.”

I wish I could make it for her one more time. Thank you, Grandma, for the love, the laughter, and the memories that will forever live in my heart. May you rest easy! Love your Grandaughter Nicole.

Remembering Aunt Helen!!
I met the Nicholas familybwhen I was a teenager. The first timenI met Aunt Helen her words to me were, "Yes you are a Nicholas & yes you look like your daddy (Kenny). Aunt Helen saw my struggles, she notices I was a teenage mother. She said, "Baby you are not the first, and you won't be the last, but what's more important is you get your education". That was my motivation to finish school. She gave me $200 as a gift for my baby and she said you better spend every dime on him.lol. We talked often, and she would tell me she was so proud of me.
Aunt Helen you were my motivator. I LOVE YOU, Please give my daddy a big hug.

I grew up with the Griffin children in Willow Grove. Mrs. Helen was such a beautiful woman, and soul. Showed kindness to all. Loved hanging around her. Will truly miss Mrs. Helen. Thank you for sharing her with us all. R.I.H.💜💔🙏🏽💜
