The quality of a man’s life is measured by how deeply he has touched the lives of others. Our father, Gene Raymond Combs entered peacefully into Eternal rest Monday, April 30, 2018. Our mother and his wife, Clara Mae Combs and brother, Harvey Brice preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving daughters; Cassandra Hawkins (Fulton) and Keenar Black (Carlos); son, Marcus Fontenot; siblings, Lonnie Brice (Olive), Ruby Gray, Gwender Jones (Leroy), Edward Combs and Diana Combs; grandchildren; Jessica Combs-Bellard (Scott), Brandon Combs, Erik Combs and Carlos Black, Jr.; nephews, Samuel Gray III and Rodney Brice (Andriel); sister-in-law, Essie Brice; niece, Carla Johnson (Reginald); cousin, Dayton Combs and many other dear relatives and friends.
