Fredrick "Fred" Jones' Obituary
1947 - 2016
Our family circle has been broken: a link gone from our chain. Though we’re parted for a while, we know we’ll meet again. Fred departed this life April 3, 2016. His life will be celebrated at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, 3826 Wheeler, Saturday, April 9th, 1:00 PM. Visitation will be prior to service beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will be Houston National Cemetery, Monday, April 11th, 9:45 AM. In God’s care he leaves his loving and devoted wife, Joan Cathy Jones; daughters, Faith Jones Goff (Johnny Jr.) and Lauren Taylor (Charles); three grandchildren, Johnny Goff III, Jayden Goff and Charles Taylor; sister, Claudia Jones; brother, Ralph Jones and many other dear relatives and friends. His parents, Elbert O. Jones and Lillie M Jones preceded him in death.
