Jean was always so sweet and kind to me when I came to visit the family from California. I was young but I would always remember my grandmother proclaiming that she knew 3 women in her life who were true saints! Jean was one of them and the reason why? Well...only Rosa Lee and that generation knew! :))
A few stories would always come up....one was from my Aunt Mona who fell in love with Aunt Jean the year the family came to visit in California. Robin was very young then and it takes Mona to tell the story but she would have all of us laughing about Robin getting caught by saying the wrong thing when she thought that it would be just her and the young cousins around, but Auntie Jean had that mother radar and would always catch Robin no matter where she was at. LOL! Mona stated how Jean would just appear out of nowhere and reprimand Robin. She stated how the house would be full of laughs and food and how that was one of the best summers that they had with Jean even though Robin stayed in trouble. LOL... We will miss you Jean....your smile, your demeanor, your kindness, your love was one in a million!
Robin,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I pray that God strengthens you and your family during this time of grief. May the great memories of your dear mom live in your heart until you see her again. God bless you all.
I will forever remember Aunt Jean for her contributions to my life, especially during my childhood. Her kind, wise, and encouraging conversations, watching her precise and meticulous sewing skills, summer at Prairie View A & M University. Aunt Jean enriched my life and I am forever grateful.
May God strengthen all family and friends for such a great lost.
