My sincere condolences are extended to the family of Dr. Della Bell. I had the pleasure of being her colleague at Texas Southern University, for over 20 years. She was one of the most delightful people who I had the good fortune to meet, during that tenure. She was strikingly intelligent, genuinely caring and compassionate, and extremely kind. Her smile was infectious. I will always remember her fondly.
Mrs. Bell taught me Math in Junior High...such a brilliant lady....met her again some years later through her sister, Xavier, my nurse colleague. Condolences to the Bell family and extended members...may she rest in eternal peace.

She was my 7th grade math teacher at Franklin Jr. High as well as my 11th grade trigonometry teacher at Lincoln High in Port Arthur. What a wonderful educator who had a profound influence on my life and my life successes. She was tough but fair. She knew how to teach. I had so much respect and admiration for her. I never forgot her and always asked about her. May she now Rest In Peace with the Saints.

Aunt Della was a Doll, such a nice a graceful Lady who always encouraged others in a joyful way. The Light of God always shined from her spirit. When I was a young boy and first met her, I can still see that beautiful smile. Rest in a High Place our gentle Saint, and may that shined in your life shine brighter in the presence of the most high and mighty God.
Dr. Bell always met you with a beautiful smile and a warm greeting. She will be missed.
