On behalf of Juarine Lovelace aka Bobbie and the Lovelace Family,
We want to express how much we will miss and Curtis, our beloved cousin.
Although, we lived far away and didn't get the chance to see him as we would have liked, it made each conversation that much special.
We remember his gentle and kind mannerism. It was funny to hear him call himself, grey fox and the chuckle he would have after saying it. It would always make me laugh.
I enjoyed hearing the family stories he told about Momma Sally, his grandmother who raised him and my great grandmother. I called him the family historian. My ears would be glued to the phone listening to family history I hadn't known. I listened about relatives and ancestors who had passed long before I was thought of.
Having a family and knowing your history is a blessing and makes you proud of the roots in which you've come from.
Although, we are saddened that God has taken Curtis home, we will cherish the memories. We know that absent from the body is present with the Lord.
He is resting and in peace. We know that his soul dwells with our Heavenly Father and has been welcomed with open arms by our Heavenly Father and our beloved loved ones who have passed on before him.
We thank our dear cousins, Pat, Leo and family who loved and cared for Curtis making him comfortable in their home for the past few years.
We know he felt loved and cared for and appreciated you all making his latter years comfortable.
Although, we feel sad, we understand that his passing is just a temporary separation from the rest of the family and not a loss.
When we all...... get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing it will be.
