1933 - 2016
A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain. It is made of deep devotion, of sacrifice, and of pain. It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may; for nothing can destroy or take that love away… Our loving mother, Carole peacefully entered into Eternal rest, Friday, April 1, 2016. In God’s care she leaves her sons, Joseph Clayton Gathe Jr., M.D. (Deanna Breaux Gathe) and Jeffrey Christopher Gathe; daughters, Joy Carole Gathe-Ghermay, M.D. (Abbey Ghermay, M.D.) and Julia Collette Flowers, M.D., (Brian Flowers, M.D.); grandchildren, Morgan Gathe, Joseph Gathe III, Joya Gathe, Sydney Gathe, Christian Ghermay, Savannah Ghermay, Chandler Flowers, Hayden Flowers and Grant Flowers and many other dear relatives and friends. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 3006 Rosedale, Sunday, April 10th, 2:00 PM. Visitation will be in the Rose Chapel of Mabrie Memorial Mortuary, Saturday April 9th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM where the family will be present to receive extended family and friends at 6:00 PM. Interment will be Monday, April 11th at 4:00 PM, New Light Cemetery, Starkville, Mississippi.
