Carla and I met at Windsor Village Church over 20 yrs ago. She use to put on financial seminars and wrote a book on finances. I hadn't seen her in a long time. Carla had a beautiful spirit. I remember her entrepreneurial drive and her desire to help others. She had a beautiful smile. Condolences to her family.🙏🏾

Carla was a very beautiful girl. I first met her in the early 1970s when students from Garnet Elementary School were transferred to Frederick Douglass Elementary School, because Garnet became a school for Special-Needs students. It was puppy love at first sight for me, but not for her. She was focused on education not puppy love. I attended Beckman Junior High School with her, and we both graduated from Roosevelt High School with the Class of 1979. Carla was part of many of my childhood memories growing up in Gary, IN, and I will always remember sharing those special school years together with her.
