Where do I even begin.
Grandpa Cam was the only Grandfather I ever really knew. From my most treasured memories of childhood, Christmas days, visits, and simply time together. To even feeling proud on Veteran's Day in Elementary school when I got to show everyone his service photo. And now, growing into a young adult, Grandpa Cam was there. I cannot express enough the joy and love Grandpa Cam showed me.
One of my fondest memories whenever I came over was my special flower sleeping bag that Grandpa Cam would get out for me and set right in front of the TV in the living room. He would ask if I wanted any snacks, lay it out, and I would sit there drawing, coloring, writing and just being a kid while he watched over with Grana Stein. I look back at these moments knowing that only love and care was filled in that room.
It is a peace that I am thankful to him and God for allowing in my life. I am thankful to God for putting Grandpa Cam in my life. I will miss his warm hugs, hearty laugh, stories, and his presence. But I know that this isn't a goodbye, but simply a see you later. I love you Grandpa Cam.
