Carlton, you were my next door neighbor, my friend, my little brother and sometimes my SAGE. I watched as you turned each day into a Life Project. You loved beautiful things and the evidence was in how you supervised the care of the landscape, how you transformed the interior spaces of your home, how your dressed, and how you selected exquisite menu items. The secret of your talents were always inspired by your love for your Mother. When we talked outside or over the fence in the evenings, your face lite up as you explained how you were making choices to make life better for your Mother. Carlton, after taking a recent tour of all the renovations and upgrades to the décor, please know you did an outstanding job! There is now light in places which were once dark, there is hot and clean water in replaced pipes and plumbing, there is fresh and clean air with new filters and fragrances, there are cushions on new sofas and chairs, there are art objects and photos on walls and shelves, and there is a refreshing new plant in the cloisonné vase on the front porch! Most importantly, there is a woman(your Mom) who sits in a chair in the center of the house and smiles as she is surrounded in the comfort and love and care which was made possible by you, her son. I hope God reads this tribute I am writing and puts a bright halo above your head for all eternity. You will make a beautiful and deserving Angel. May you rest in Peace Carlton, you will be missed.
