Mr. Alvin Lewis Carroll's Obituary
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find peace knowing God has him in his care.
Alvin Lewis Carroll was born on December 5, 1954, in Schulenburg, Texas to Aaron and Lois Carroll. He was the youngest of four sons born to this union.
He attended Schulenburg High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Texas Southern University.
Alvin retired from AT&T after 25 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he worked at Pizza Hut for twelve years.
Alvin's love for family and cheerful disposition were among his most notable qualities. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed a great game of dominoes, and took pride in preparing his favorite meal of steak and his famous mashed potatoes. He was loved by many and touched the lives of those he met.
Alvin transitioned on August 25, 2024, after an illness. He was preceded in death by father, Aaron Carroll; and brothers, Aaron Carroll Jr.; and Larry Carroll.
Those remaining to cherish his memories are his wife of forty-one years, Carol Anne Carroll; mother, Lois Carroll; son, Joseph Carroll; granddaughter, Madeline Carroll; brother, James Carroll; aunt, Sylvia Ford; uncle, Michael White; brother-in-law, Harold Stafford Jr. (Mryna), sister-in-law, Linda Carroll; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
The life of Alvin L. Carroll will be celebrated with a memorial service on Saturday, September 28, 2024, 12:30 p.m. in the Rose Chapel of Mabrie Memorial Mortuary.
