Mrs. Addie Bogan's Obituary
Addie J. Robertson Bogan transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
With profound sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Addie Joyce Robertson Bogan, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Addie’s life was a testament to the power of love, dedication, and unwavering strength.
Addie was the third child born to Ella and Nathaniel Robertson in Centerville, Louisiana on December 4, 1943. She entered eternal rest on September 1, 2024, at 7:41 a.m. She was preceded in death by both parents, siblings Willie Robertson, Freddie Robertson and Larry Robertson.
Her early education was at Verdunville Elementary and continued to Willow Street High School, graduating in the class of 1962. After graduation she attended Southeastern Louisiana University.
Addie began her first job as a young lady at Lakewood Hospital as a Dietitian. After, she worked at Walmart as a HR Manager in Bayou Vista, Louisiana for numerous years and retired from St. Mary Parish Sheriff Department in 2013. She moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2014 to live with her son and daughter-in-love. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, she attended and was an active member of The Crossing Place Church in Franklin, Louisiana.
She is survived by her beloved children; Monique Bogan (Corey) and Kyle Bogan (Meg).
Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren; Jillian Hines, Symone Bogan, Roderick Jackson and Kayla Bogan. She was blessed with one great-granddaughter, Skyelar Allen.
Her memory will be cherished by many including her sister Gwendolyn Robertson, a bonus daughter Ariann Pradia, two uncles Willie Robinson (Mary Lee) and Charles Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Addie was a woman of faith and perseverance. She was skilled at cooking the best food, loved to travel and was enthusiastic about watching cooking and game shows. She had a heart and love for people, lending a helping hand wherever she could. She used her talents and resources to bless others. Her adventurous spirit and love for life were evident in everything she did.
We invite all who knew and loved Addie to join us in celebrating her extraordinary life. Her light will continue to shine in our hearts and memories forever.
Celebration of Life will be in Franklin, Louisiana later.
