Have known Sis Ada for over 20 years and grateful for the opportunity to have worked on her first city council campaign, and worked on her economic development committee. Ada listened and understood the heartbeat of the city and indeed knew the fabric of District D. I truly appreciate her contributions and the ways she touched the lives of many including mine. After retiring from the City of Houston in 2004, shortly after I went work part time with Council Member Ada Edwards. (WOW) It was an honor to serve her as she served the citizens of District D and others. She was truly a Servant for the people. A loving sharing Lady to those of us who worked along side her as well. Deepest Condolences to the family. Worked with Ada on many occassions presenting activities and speakers to the students at Texas Southern University relative to our African American history and heritage during the late 70's and early 80's.
She was a true poineer for cultural awareness and community envolvement.
