Local Schools Tour Our Mortuary in Honor of Black History Month
A powerful Black History Month experience that connected students with local African-American artistry and the stories behind it.
In February 2020, Mabrie Memorial Mortuary welcomed students from Attucks Middle School and Yates High School on a guided visit through our unique premises, featuring our one-of-a-kind art collection created by local African-American artists.
The event was designed to celebrate Black History Month by offering young learners an opportunity to explore culture, creativity and community history in a setting that merges care, legacy and art.
Through this engagement, Mabrie Memorial Mortuary strengthened its role as both a cultural anchor and an educational partner, reinforcing our commitment to the broader community beyond traditional funeral service.
