Eric Timothy Daniel
“Tim”
January 10, 1948 – March 18, 2026
Eric Timothy Daniel, affectionately known as “Tim,” 78, peacefully departed this earthly life on March 18, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
Eric was born on January 10, 1948, on the island of Dominica, in the village of Boetica, to the late Lucy Pascal and Wayland Daniel. He received his early education at Saint Mary’s Academy in Roseau, Dominica. In 1968, Eric left his beloved homeland in search of greater opportunities, relocating to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he attended the College of the Virgin Islands from 1968 to 1972.
A Life Remembered
Tim was known for his vibrant and sometimes wild personality that kept life interesting. On weekends, he enjoyed spending time at his mother’s cousin’s home, Peter Pascal, in St. Thomas, where laughter and good company were never in short supply. He loved gathering the children and treating them to ice cream or something special—and every now and then, those outings would turn into unexpected driving lessons. Those moments, full of fun and spontaneity, created lasting memories.
He loved to fish. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, sharing laughter, and telling stories with those around him. He also loved to cook and was never one for leftovers. Tim was an intelligent and well-informed man who loved to read and stay up to date on national events, often keeping up with world news—going between Family Feud and CNN all day long. He was often ahead of his time—like the “Apple computer” of his day—sharp, curious, and always thinking. He was especially good with numbers, a skill that served him well throughout his career. Beyond his intelligence, many knew him as a kind-hearted man.
His Life’s Work
He worked for many years at the Zinky Smith Concrete Plant in St. Thomas, rising to the role of plant manager. In 1982, Tim relocated to Houston, Texas, where he contributed to the development of Beltway 8 and other major freeways that continue to serve the city today. He continued working at various plants and oil companies throughout the Houston area.
Faith and Strength
Like many, Tim faced challenges throughout his life, but in his later years, he found strength and comfort in his faith. He developed a deep appreciation for his church family, whose presence and support meant a great deal to him. His faith became an important part of his journey, bringing him peace and connection.
Cherished Family
Tim is survived by his children: Anne-Marie Stevens, Carla Christmas, Ava Daniel, Ayanna Daniel, Timothy Daniel, Greg Daniel, Rochelle Daniel, and Desire Daniel; his sons-in-law, Kerwin Stevens and Vincent Christmas; and his daughter-in-law, Tomika Daniel.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Aria Stevens, Arion Stevens, Turrell Christmas, Adrian Kolarik, Christian Daniel, Keondrey Daniel, Alana Daniel, and Dylan Baron; and great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by his siblings: Judith Jno. Baptiste, Alice Burke, and Anthony Daniel; his uncle, Henrisant “Uncle Pato” Pascal; and his close cousins Roy Pascal and Nelson “Toxy” Smith of Dominica, Doreen St. Jean of the United States, and Ruby Joseph of Canada. He is also remembered by his extended family and many friends whose lives he touched.
Tim was preceded in death by his siblings, Angela Lake and Delphina Daniel.
Acknowledgment
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Cordella “Cordee” Richardson and Charles “Charlo” Ridley for their kindness, care, and support in making his later years more comfortable. Both Charles and Cordella regarded my father as family and cared for him as such. It brings great comfort to know he was surrounded by people who loved him deeply. I cannot fully express how much their presence and care meant to me, knowing he was treated not just with compassion, but with genuine love.
Closing Tribute
He has fought a good fight, he has finished his course, and now he rests in eternal peace.

My deepest condolences to the family and all who loved dear Tim. I will miss his voice and sweet pleasantries whenever we interacted. He had the sweetest relationship with my old lady Rottweiler named Meadow. They loved each other dearly. Thank you for feeding her all the food and snacks she wasn’t supposed to eat lol you were her favorite friend.
Rest well and all glory to God for the many years of life you were blessed with!
With love, Shaneka Richardson

Rest in peace, cousin. I don’t recall meeting you as a child while living in Boetica because I was so young. I remembered others chatting with Aunty Lucy, your mother, who always spoke so fondly of you. Your name came up frequently at family gatherings, especially when we reminisced about the old days and the "3 Ts." Many outside our family believed the 3 Ts referred to Tom Lafond (now deceased), Julius Timothy (deceased), and Toxi (my brother), but they truly meant Toxi, Tom, and you—Tim. For years, a photo of you and Toxi hung in our home in Boetica.
You brought joy to my parents (both now passed) when you reconnected with them after relocating to Texas. They often wondered if you remembered all the stories from Boetica and Dominica, but you did, and reminiscing together warmed their hearts.
Seeing so many heartfelt tributes and hearing touching stories about how you helped others is comforting.
To your children, siblings, grand and great grand children, deepest condolences to you. I only know Desiree and met Carla once. May you all find support and love in one another as you go through this difficult time and beyond.
My family – Richard, Ryan and Ryley and my siblings—Toxie, Celia, Josette, Richardson, Earl, and Ginta—also send their condolences.
Tim, wishing you a safe journey home and may you rest in eternal peace.
