Dear Lord,
We are grateful that You have made us all in Your own image, giving us gifts and talents with which to serve You. Thank You for Terry's life, and all the years they shared with him. They leave him to You today, in honor of the good they saw in him and the love they felt for him. Be free, be strong, be proud of who you have been Terry. You will be mourned and missed. Know that no one can replace you, that you have loved and are beloved. Move beyond form, flowing like water, feeding on sunlight and moonlight, radiant as the stars in the night sky. Pass the gates, enter the light without fear, returning to the womb of life to steep in the cauldron of rebirth. Rest and be blessed. Lord, please give them the strength to leave Terry in Your care, in the knowledge of eternal life throughout Jesus Christ.....Amen.

Tony Thornton here. On behalf of the "Five Families" of the Englewood neighborhood in Chicago I extend our prayers for strength and serenity to Carol and all of the Julian clan. It is due to the habit of our mothers of reading voraciously, and having enjoyed Mario Puzo's fine book: "The Godfather" that they appropriated the name to describe our bond. We children were able to call the Julian's, Porter's, Connors, McElroy's or Thornton's house, home! I was moved by other's descriptions here, of Terry's sterling character and would only add here that one of his traits that I admired was his wonderful sense of humor! This is not the time or place to regale you all with tales of that humor, but suffice it to say that that is what I will most remember of our dear brother. Brother Terry, until we meet again, I wish you Godspeed on the rest of your journey!
